Trash and recyclable materials are collected on
Monday morning. If Monday is a holiday, or if there is
very bad weather, pickup will be on Tuesday. The
trash collection company does not observe all Monday
holidays, and we hope to post a pickup schedule soon.

New residents can get a recycling bin from the Milford
Public Works Dep't ( 783-3265).

NOTE: our collection company does not always keep
recyclable materials separate from trash, but it is a
violation of State Law to throw out specific recyclable
material as if it was trash, so do what you think is right.
Here's what gets recycled:
GLASS: Empty, unbroken bottles and jars, made of clear, brown or green glass. Rinse them
out, leave the labels on, and throw away the caps.
PLASTIC: Empty juice, soda, water, milk and laundry detergent bottles, or any container with
a #1 or #2 recycling symbol. Rinse them out, leave the labels on, and throw away the caps.
METAL: Empty food and beverage cans, clean aluminum food trays. Rinse them out, and
leave the labels on.
NEWSPAPERS: unsoiled newspapers, including all inserts. Tie them in a bundle with string,
or put them in a paper bag, on top of the glass, plastic and metal in your recycling bin.

Here's what we don't recycle: (it's just trash)
Drinking glasses, Pyrex, mirrors, windows, auto glass, light bulbs, broken glass.
Any plastic bottle or container not listed above.
Spray cans, paint cans, coat hangers, metal household items.
Magazines, books, cardboard, writing paper, computer paper, typing paper, any other paper
